At Dio Med we offer a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology at the highest medical level. Comprehensive gynecological care is possible with more than 25 years of experience and the most modern technical equipment. At Dio Med we carry out preventative testing, diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases in women of all ages, as well as full monitoring during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
Medical Services
At Dio Med, we perform examinations and modern treatment of obstetric and gynecological diseases, all kinds of tests and procedures, pregnancy monitoring, and gynecological consultations.
All invasive procedures are performed in a specialized obstetrics & gynecology clinic with the necessary anesthesia.

Treatments are performed by conservative and operative methods, using traditional and modern microinvasive surgery – laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in a specialized Obstetrics & Gynecology clinic.

- diagnosis and treatment of infertility through: endoscopic, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic methods, as well as by hystero salpingography (HSG)

We conduct both normal and operative birth delivery by means of cesarean section in a specialized obstetric hospital.

We offer consultations regarding the methods of modern contraception, both hormonal and barrier (IUP – intrauterine pessary).

Our Team
Dr. Lora Kalvacheva
Dr. Lora Kalvacheva is an obstetrician and gynecologist in Sofia with over 25 years of experience. She carries out examinations and modern treatment of obstetric and gynecological diseases, all kinds of tests and procedures, monitoring of pregnancy in a gynecological clinic.
Since 1998 Dr. Kalvacheva Obstetrician and Gynecologist at the British and American Embassies in Sofia. Since 1998 he has been working as an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Vita Sofia hospital. She is currently part of the team of specialists in obstetrics and gynecology DIO MED. She speaks English and Russian.
EDUCATION
She graduated from the Medical University of Sofia. She acquired her specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1998.
QUALIFICATIONS
- From 1994 to 1997 – Course for medical practice at the 1st Medical Institute “Academician Pavlov” St. Petersburg;
- She graduated from Sofia Medical University. In 1998 she acquired a specialization in obstetrics and gynecology;
- 2015 – Diagnostic and office hysteroscopy – level I;
- Ultrasound diagnostics in Obstetrics and Gynecology;

Dr. Antoaneta Ilieva
Dr. Antoaneta Ilieva is an obstetrician and gynecologist in Sofia with over 25 years of experience. She performs preventive medical examinations and modern treatment of obstetric and gynecological diseases, all kinds of examinations and procedures, ultrasound diagnostics, hormone tests, DNA tests, biopsies, research and treatment of high-risk women, genetic screening and monitoring of pregnant women in a women’s clinic.
Since 1994, Dr. Ilieva is a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology at the Vita Sofia hospital. She is currently part of the specialist obstetrics and gynecology team at DIO MED Sofia.
EDUCATION
She graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1993. She acquired her specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000.
